This site was previously the California Highway Patrol (CHP) facility located at 10077 State Route 89 South in Truckee, California. The 1.7+/- acre site is owned by the State of California.

Following the Governor’s Executive Order N-06-19, excess state properties were identified by Department of General Services and screened to determine suitability for affordable housing development. This site was determined suitable and the State released a Request for Affordable Housing Proposals in October 2020.

The State intends to lease the land to The Pacific Companies (TPC) to develop affordable rental housing on the site.
