DEFAULTS, FORECLOSURES,
BANKRUPTCIES
October 2023 marks 25 years since The Pacific Companies was founded. Explore a few of our key milestones along the way.
In 1993, Caleb Roope rounded up his dream team of five finance, development, legal, and construction experts, naming this agile bunch the Pacific Communities.
In 2003, Caleb added a construction division to reduce execution risk and better align builder and developer incentives. Shane, Zack, and Ken joined to form Pacific West Builders, we now simply call “Builders.”
Each afternoon in our humble downtown office, feelings of hope rose like smoke from the adjoining bar—hope that we could move. In 2007, we realized those hopes, moving up to our XXXX sq ft Eagle office complex.
In the 2010s, we broadened by adding market-rate housing and commercial property divisions and staffing up new teams. Pacific Partners Residential and Strategic Growth Partners brought our division total to five.
In 2018, TPC joined forces with two modular veterans to found Autovol, a first-of-its kind automated modular plant. Autovol has produced nine TPC projects, and leads the US in modular affordable housing production.
In 2022, TPC was named the list of top 50 affordable housing developers by Affordable Housing Finance. The ranking was based on a total of 3,091 units started and 1,411 completions during the year.
